One of the youths approached the cab with a pocket knife drawn and demanded that the driver give him money, according to the indictment. When the driver exited the taxi, the group of children began hitting him, with one of the children going so far as to break a vodka bottle on his face. He then allegedly took the bottle shard and sliced the driver's arm with it.

The youths stole NIS 40 from the victim, as well as his cigarettes and telephone.

The driver suffered bodily wounds in the attack that required medical treatment.

The youths were charged with a number of crimes, including robbery, aggravated bodily harm and illegal possession of a knife.
