Israelis hold demonstration in solidarity with Syrians

Israelis in Jerusalem show solidarity with Syrian people
A small demonstration was held at a Jerusalem square on Friday in support of Syrian people, whose country has been at war for six years.
Demonstrators held signs reading 'Never again?' and 'We are one', while others lit candles and laid flowers.
One Jerusalem resident invited Syrian refugees to Israel.
In Syria, evacuation of people from the last opposition-held areas of Aleppo was suspended after accusations from both sides.

Aleppo had been divided between government and rebel areas during the conflict, but a swift advance by the Syrian army and its allies that began in mid-November deprived the insurgents of most of their territory in a matter of weeks.
The conflict has killed more than 300,000 people.
