Two weeks after rumors began to swirl of an upcoming Jennifer Lopez performance in Israel, concert organizers confirmed Wednesday that the pop superstar will be arriving this summer.

Lopez will take the stage for one concert in Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park on August 1. The singer and actress, known in tabloids as J.Lo, will be embarking on her first concert tour in seven years - titled "It's My Party" - this summer. The Tel Aviv show is Lopez's first announcement this year of a tour date outside of North America.

Lopez began her career as a pop singer, although in more recent years she has focused on her acting career. Her smash hit songs include "If You Want My Love," "Waiting for Tonight," "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "Jenny from the Block." Lopez has been nominated for two Grammys, served as a judge on American Idol, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has sold more than 80 million records worldwide.

The show is being organized by producer Marcel Abraham, who was behind Justin Bieber's 2017 show in Tel Aviv and Maluma's 2018 appearance.

In both 2012 and 2016, Israeli media reported that Lopez had agreed to a concert in Tel Aviv, but neither show ever materialized.

Lopez never officially announced a show in Israel on either occasion. Both times, the concert rumors were met with online campaigns by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement calling on Lopez to cancel.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday evening at leaan.co.il, and begin at NIS 365.
