Construction Minister Uri Ariel, Bezalel Smotrich, MK Orit Struck and MK Zevulun Kalfa will be Tekuma’s representatives on the Bayit Yehudi list, after the party’s central committee voted Sunday.

Tekuma, which used to be part of the National Union list, will hold the second, ninth, 15th and 18th slots on the Bayit Yehudi list, according to an agreement authorized by the central committee last month.

“We have an excellent team that will be part of Bayit Yehudi’s winning team,” Ariel said. “I’m proud to be in this group that is leading a responsible party without tricks and shticks and does its work faithfully.”

Ariel ran unopposed for Tekuma leader. Smotrich, the newcomer to the list, is director of Regavim, an advocacy organization aimed at protecting national land.

With Bayit Yehudi polling at 15-16 seats in most polls, both Struck and Kalfa are in danger of losing their seats in the Knesset, even though part of the reason Tekuma is running with Bayit Yehudi and not former Shas leader Eli Yishai’s Yachad Ha’am Itanu is that the latter would not allow Struck on its list, because she is a woman.

The secretive central committee, which voted on its party’s list three days before the Bayit Yehudi primary, is thought to have more than 100 members, but party officials will not confirm its makeup.
