Prime Minister Benjmain Netanyahu personally greeted Modi at Ben-Gurion Airport, along with the top tier of Israel's leadership – known as "segel aleph" – an honor afforded to only a few select leaders, such as US presidents and popes.


The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Israel's official Holocaust memorial, Yad Vashem, shortly after arriving in Israel.

The Indian Prime Minister is expected to hold meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin and leading members of the Indian community in Israel.
