Woman shot dead outside her home in Bedouin community

Israeli media reported that the victim was separated from her husband and police were investigating whether the suspected murder was a so-called honor killing.

A 36-year-old woman was shot dead in front of her home in a Bedouin village near Route 25 in the Negev during the night, police said on Sunday.

Police received a report about the shooting and rushed to the scene, north of Arava, where paramedics pronounced her dead.

Police collected evidence from the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
