12-year-old killed in fire at his family's home in Lod

A 12-year-old was killed in a fire that broke out at his family's home in Lod early Saturday morning.
The boy was removed from the home in critical condition by fire fighters who were called to the scene. An MDA team attempted to treat the boy, though pronounced him dead shortly after their arrival.
The building's other tenants were successfully evacuated without sustaining injuries.
