700 left jobless by collapse of Mishmar cleaning company

Mishmar, which provides cleaning, maintenance, and security services, announced on Wednesday it was closing down, and that all of the company's 700 workers had been fired. Attorney Yossi Liav, the company's CEO, said that he was forced to close down the company because clients owed more than NIS 1 million shekels, and the banks were not willing to extend his credit due to unstable economic conditions. Mishmar fired 800 workers as early as August. The remaining 700 employees, who were fired today, are claiming that they did not receive their salaries for October.
