Baidatz: Hizbullah prisoner swap has encouraged Hamas

Israel's prisoner swap with Hizbullah has given encouragement to Hamas in Gaza, Brig.-Gen. Yossi Baidatz, head of Military Intelligence's Research Division, said Monday.
During a security assessment given to the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Baidatz also repeated his warning to Israelis to avoid traveling to Sinai and urged those already there to leave.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert attended the meeting and was expected to update MKs on a series of issues, including the Iranian threat, the Gaza and Lebanon situations, and negotiations with Syria.
