The Cabinet discussed Sunday morning a proposal by Defense Minister Amir Peretz to transfer humanitarian aid to the Palestinians through an international organization. In addition, it was decided that a panel of ministers will be assembled in order to implement the Sasson Report regarding the dismantling of illegal settlement outposts. Justice Minister Haim Ramon (Kadima) will head the panel according to Israel Radio. The Cabinet was also expected to finalize the appointment of Aharon Abromovitch as new director general of the Foreign Ministry.
