The cabinet began its meeting on Wednesday morning to decide whether to expand the ground operations in Lebanon.
It appeared that a push toward the Litani River would be approved.
Culture and Sport Minister Ophir Paz-Pines warned that there is a heavy price Israel would pay would the push be approved.
"There is a price... the ministers need to keep this in mind. On the other hand... we need to stop the rockets."
