A police officer was lightly wounded early Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car whose driver refused to stop at a checkpoint in Wadi Ara. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old Palestinian resident of Barta'a, near Jenin, was caught following a short police chase with several illegal workers in the car. From the initial investigation it emerged that the Palestinian was driving without a license and he was detained for further investigation.
