Court rejects request to ban Federman from West Bank

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court on Thursday rejected the prosecution's request to ban right-wing activist Noam Federman from the West Bank or alternatively to extend his remand until the proceedings end. Federman is accused of assaulting a police officer during the evacuation of the 'Federman Farm' two weeks ago. In response, Federman said "this is what happens when the police is preoccupied with PR and less with professionalism. It is a joke that all media outlets received the charge sheet against me and I still haven't received it." He added that the indictment against him was "ridiculous" and that "everyone saw that the police were the ones that pushed and shoved me." The prosecution submitted an indictment on Wednesday to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court against Noam Federman in which he wwas accused of assaulting a police officer and obstructing justice
