The Defense Ministry will begin recollecting gas mask kits from Israel's citizens and residents in the coming months.
The ministry on Monday will publicize a contract for collection of some 6,800,000 gas mask kits distributed to Israel's citizens and residents in the run-up to the March 2003 American invasion of Iraq.
Most of the kits will be refreshed and restocked, while some one-third are considered unfit for use and will be discarded.
