The remains of a 20-year-old Ecuadorean kibbutz volunteer, killed near the Gaza Strip by a Hamas sniper earlier this week, were repatriated on Thursday night. The body of Carlos Mosquera was sent by an Iberia airliner to the Ecuadorean capital of Quito, where he was received by relatives. Family members refused to comment to journalists at Quito's airport. Mosquera, who had been in Israel since Nov. 5, was working in a kibbutz potato field on Tuesday when he was killed by a sniper. Hamas claimed responsibility. Mosquera would have turned 21 on Sunday.
