By JPOST.COM STAFF
The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court extended on Tuesday afternoon the remand of eight senior employees in the Jerusalem Municipality and various government offices, who were arrested earlier in the day on suspicion of giving and taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes.
The arrests followed a joint undercover operation by the National Fraud Squad and the Jerusalem Police.
Those arrested include officials in the Israel Lands Authority and a division of the Justice Ministry who allegedly facilitated the transfer of property to Palestinians.
