An eight-year-old girl died of hypothermia Tuesday in Beersheba's Soroka Hospital, after she was brought in with a core temperature of only 26 degrees centigrade.
The girl, from one of the Bedouin villages in the area, is the fifth to die this week as a result of the unusually cold weather.
Earlier Tuesday, two homeless people were found dead of hypothermia in Bat Yam and Netivot.
