55,000 Evangelical Leaders Appeal to Prime Minister to Stop Gay Pride Parade Fifty-five thousand leaders from the Jerusalem Prayer Team, the world's largest pro-Israel, Christian coalition, have appealed to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to call a halt to the Gay Pride Parade scheduled for November 10. Dr. Michael Evans, founder, said the group represents hundreds of millions of Christians worldwide. "The evangelical Christians are deeply troubled because by wearing crosses and other Christian symbols, the homosexual community will attempt to give the impression that this lifestyle is condoned by evangelical Christians," said the group in a press release.
