Police unveiled a grave case of gang rape in central Israel Monday morning in which a group of boys, aged 11 to 13, allegedly forced two girls, aged 12, from their school to commit sexual acts under threat. Twelve boys have been brought in for interrogation by police, of which three have already been placed under house arrest. According to police, the boys threatened the girls with circulating photos taken of them and telling their parents of their acts, as well as with violence, if they refused to comply. The girls reportedly told their school principal of the threats, who filed a police complaint. Last month, police revealed a similar case in Ashdod in which a group of 10-year-old boys were suspected of having forcible sexual relations with a girl their age. The abuse reportedly took place over several months.
