Hadera residents and known gangsters Eliran Levi and Yossi Turgeman, who were convicted of the murder of a Pardes Hanna woman Meirav Gabai, were sentenced to 2.5 years in prison in a plea bargain agreement.
Levi and Turgeman fled police after attempting to fire an anti-tank missile at a known gangster. During the chase, their car hit Gabai's vehicle and killed her.
According to Israel Radio, police were reportedly angered by the light sentence. "As usual, the private citizen pays the price," police sources reportedly said.
