Givati soldiers exposed to virus, sent home

An entire company of Givati soldiers were sent home from their base due to a suspicion that they had been exposed to a virus. Several of the company's soldiers felt unwell after returning from an exercise. Three soldiers were evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, where doctors determined that they were not suffering from pneumonia, Army Radio reported. Last week, 500 combat engineering basic trainees were sent home after an outbreak of pneumonia struck the Tzukei Uvda base. The IDF began a round of inoculations against that strain of pneumonia early in the week.
