A fire broke out Wednesday near the Pi Glilot Gas Storage Facility, but firefighters managed to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading and reaching the gas tanks.
The nearby roads, which were closed to traffic due to the smoke, were reopened Wednesday afternoon.
Six teams of firefighters were working to extinguish the fire, which was still raging near the Glilot interchange, between Tel-Aviv and Herzliya.
