Gov't approves plan to protect poor from rising prices

The government approved on Sunday a plan to protect society's poorer sectors from rising consumer prices.
According to Israel Radio, the cabinet also approved Industry, Trade, and Labor Minister Eli Yishai's proposal to establish a permanent program for compensating the poor.
