IDF arrests 8 'hilltop youth' activists in Jericho

Jewish youths barricade themselves in ancient synagogue in West Bank town; further group able to flee, enters town.

IDF soldiers on Saturday detained at least eight Jewish youths who barricaded themselves in an ancient synagogue in the West Bank town of Jericho
A further group of young Jews were able to flee and managed to enter the town.

Most of the right-wing activists are members of "the hilltop youth" who operate in the West Bank.
The activists departed from different communities in Binyamin area and managed to hold a prayer session at the Na'aran synagogue earlier in the day.
Another 15 activists said they were planning to barricade themselves at the Shalom Al Yisrael synagogue in Jericho.
