According to a letter written by the IDF's Chief of General Staff's office, "the release [of 86 Palestinian security prisoners] is unethical while [kidnapped IDF Cpl.] Gilad Schalit is still being held in the Gaza Strip," Channel 2 reported on Monday.
President Shimon Peres delayed the release of the remaining 29 Palestinian security prisoners on Sunday but provided no reason for doing so.
