IDF commander reprimanded for comments during testimony

OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Gadi Shamni reprimanded Col. Itay Virob, commander of the Kfir Brigade, for claiming during testimony at a military trial that it was permissible on rare occasions to use physical force to restrain Palestinians during arrest operations in the West Bank.
Virob made the comments during testimony he gave on behalf of an officer from the Kfir Brigade on trial for striking a Palestinian.
Shamni told Virob that his remarks were in negation to the IDF code of ethics.
