The IDF announced Tuesday evening that as of next week it will stop assigning soldiers security duty along northern communities on the Lebanese border, Army Radio reported. Eitan Davidi, the northern community council chairman, called the army's decision "criminal neglect," and added that parents would abstain from sending their children to school if the decision wasn't reversed.
