The Israel Electric Company was forced to cut power to thousands of residents in the Sharon area and in the North, following extreme weather conditions across Israel on Monday. The high temperatures recorded across the country have driven people to turn on their air conditioning systems for long periods of time, creating a strain on electricity supply. Israelis are urged to conserve energy by refraining from using devices that demand high-voltage electricity or at least by delaying their usage until evening time.
