Israel will join Greek disaster relief exercise

The IDF and six Middle Eastern and North African countries will join a disaster relief exercise in Greece next week, Greek military officials announced Monday. The September 8-13 Dolphin 06 exercise will take place on the island of Crete, joined by officers from Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, and Tunisia, as well as observers from the defense general staff of NATO Greece. The exercise is designed to help countries in the Mediterranean region assist each other in case of a disaster in the region. A similar military exercise was held in Crete last year.
