Jerusalem bank robber nabbed 'red-handed'

A 40-year-old Israeli man with a past criminal record was nabbed by police Sunday "red-handed" just minutes after robbing a Jerusalem bank, police said. The man entered a Bank Leumi branch in the city's Geula neighborhood late Sunday morning with a threatening note demanding money, and made off with several thousand shekels, Jerusalem police spokesman Asi Aharoni said. Shortly thereafter, the robber was arrested by police nearby with the money, a couple knives - as well as the threatening note he used in the robbery - in his possession, he said.
