Kadima decides to hold primary using computerized system

The Kadima Central Elections Committee, headed by retired Judge Dan Arbel, unanimously decided on Thursday to allow Kadima Director-General Moshe Shehori to initiate voting by computer in next Wednesday's party primary, despite the fallout in the computer systems that plagued the recent Labor and Likud primaries. A Kadima spokesman said the decision was made because Malam, the company that provides the computers, offered to boost the number of polling stations to 600 and provide 400 ushers to explain people how to vote. Malam wanted to redeem its reputation after the problems in the Likud primary. Labor used a different company.
