Meir Rabin posts NIS 500,000 bail, freed to 20 days' house arrest.

After a lengthy stint in custody, a key suspect in the Holyland corruption scandal was released to 20 days' house arrest on Sunday. Real estate developer Meir Rabin was ordered by the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court to post bail of NIS 500,000, and was banned from contacting other suspects in the case.He had been remanded for a total of 30 days.Rabin is being investigated for 18 bribery offenses, including passing on tens of millions of shekels in bribery money to decision-makers in the Jerusalem Municipality. In return, he allegedly received approval for the controversial development.Meanwhile, Israel Radio reported that police were investigating Rabin's wife after she was seen using hand signals to silence him in court.The radio station also reported that Rabin's brother was under investigation.
