Shinui Chairman Yosef "Tommy" Lapid was expected to declare his resignation from politics at a party convention in Tel Aviv scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
Since Shinui's primaries Lapid has continued to chair the party despite his open support for the resigning Knesset members.
Lapid's supporters met with the newly elected party official Ron Loewenthal on Tuesday night to discuss the resignation agreements of MK Avraham Poraz and others, Army Radio reported.
