Livni ranked by Forbes 40th most powerful woman

Forbes Magazine ranked Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni on Thursday as the 40th most powerful woman in the world. Leading the list of the 100 most powerful women was German Chancellor Angela Merkel, followed by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi. Galia Maor, Chief Executive of Bank Leumi was the only other Israeli woman to make the list, ranked at 88. Over half of the women who made the prestigious list were from the United States.
