Ma'ale Adumim to get 350 new homes

In his last act as construction and housing minister, Isaac Herzog announced that he had approved 350 new homes to be built in Ma'ale Adumim. Herzog, who held the press conference in Ma'ale Adumim immediately before handing in his resignation letter, stressed the importance of continued building there. "Ma'ale Adumim is a part of Jerusalem, and we support its communities," said Herzog. He added, however, that building in the E1 area, which stretches between Jerusalem and Ma'ale Adumim, remains under debate. He said that as minister he had only approved the building of a police station in E1
