A resident of the Kida settlement was moderately wounded on Tuesday night after Palestinians shot at his car east of the West Bank settlement of Shilo, Channel 2 reported. The IDF closed the road between Shilo and the Shvut Rachel settlements for traffic, and was searching for the perpetrators. According to Channel 10, the driver sustained wounds to his arm and was airlifted to hospital in Jerusalem. "The attack is a direct outcome of the removal of security checkpoints, which miraculously ended with wounds only [and no fatalities]," Avi Ro'eh, Binyamin council head said in response to the attack. Ro'eh went on to stress that "a security policy must not rely on miracles." The shooting attack came hours after rocks were hurled at an Israeli vehicle near Bethlehem. While nobody was wounded in that incident, the car sustained some damage.
