Mashaal blames Israel for end of truce, urges Egypt to open Rafah crossing

Damascus-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said Israel did not keep the truce and therefore, is responsible for ending the cease-fire, Israel Radio reported on Wednesday afternoon. According to the report, Mashaal said that Israel did not open the crossings into Gaza and did not cease from carrying out military attacks within the Strip. In an interview to a Russian television channel, Mashaal criticized Egypt as well, and called on Cairo to open the Rafah crossing in order to break the blockade.
