Mashaal blasts Israel for 'constantly changing conditions'

Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal has blasted Israel for "constantly changing conditions" during negotiations. "Lately, Israel has gone back on agreements and added new demands, tricking the Egyptians, too," Mashaal said in an interview published in La Republica on Sunday. "At the moment, we are dealing with a kind of bluff with regards to [captured IDF soldier Gilad] Schalit," he told the Italian newspaper. "[Prime Minister Ehud] Olmert is attempting to frighten people about [Prime Minister-designate Binyamin] Netanyahu and about tougher negotiations with an extreme right-wing government, but it doesn't matter to us. He is the one under pressure to bring some success without paying the price. We understand that it is all an act."
