Member of clan involved in Schalit capture hospitalized in Israel

Dughmush clan member Muhammad Bandar, who is suspected of being involved in the capture of Gilad Schalit, is currently hospitalized in Israel, Channel 10 reported Sunday.
The TV channel said that the wounded Bandar fled to the Erez border crossing after Hamas forces assaulted the Dughmush clan's compound in Gaza last month, sparking a fierce exchange in which a dozen people were killed in fighting throughout the night.
The Dughmush clan largely controls the Army of Islam, a group that is affiliated with al-Qaida.
A branch of the clan claimed responsibility for capturing Schalit in a cross-border raid in June 2006.
