Mofaz announces his resignation; says he's taking a 'time out'

Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz on Thursday evening announced he had decided to temporarily resign from public office in a press conference, a day after losing the Kadima party primary. "After deliberating with my friends and family I've decided to take a break from political life," Mofaz said, adding that he intended to examine new fields of activity. "I wish only the best for the new government and for the State of Israel," Mofaz stated.
