Mofaz due to authorize plans for new airport near Megiddo

Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz is due to formally authorize plans on Thursday for the construction of a new airport near Megiddo, Army Radio reported.
The new airport is said to serve for flights to Mediterranean and European destinations.
"Israel needs a new international airport. That is the reality," said Mofaz in an interview with Army Radio Thursday.
