One day after Kadima leader and prime minister-designate Tzipi Livni told President Shimon Peres that she recommended going to early elections, representatives of NU/NRP and Israel Beiteinu echoed the sentiment in a meeting with the president on Monday.
Peres was set to meet with all of the different parties on Monday morning prior to announcing the final decision of whether to hold early elections. During his meeting with NU/NRP, MK Uri Ariel told the president that delaying the elections could potentially harm the state.
