Netanya: Man allegedly stabs girlfriend's mother to death

MDA crews' attempts to resuscitate 79-year-old woman found at apartment unsuccessful; police say suspect has criminal background.

A 79-year-old woman was killed in Netanya on Tuesday night, allegedly at the hands of her daughter's boyfriend, 62.

The woman was fatally stabbed. MDA crews arrived on the scene, but were unable to resuscitate her.

Initial reports suggested that the suspect waited outside the woman's house for her to return from work and then proceeded to stab her in the stomach and chest.

Police also reported that the man has a criminal record and served terms in prison in the past.

The background to the incident is not yet clear.
