US President Barack Obama welcomed on Monday Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's endorsement of Palestinian independence, saying the development shows the "possibility we can restart serious talks."
Obama made his brief comments at the end of an Oval Office meeting with Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi.
