Negotiations to secure the release of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit are expected to resume in the next few days, Al-Hayat reported Sunday morning, quoting Palestinian sources.
"We expect negotiations to free Gilad Schalit to resume in Cairo in the coming days, and their success depends on the position of the US regarding a Palestinian unity government," the sources told the London-based newspaper.
The sources, which purport to be close to the talks over the captured soldier's release, also claimed that Israel had refused to release just five prisoners from the Hamas list of 450.
