Police release Nissim Alperon, citing lack of evidence

One week after underworld figure Nissim Alperon was arrested on suspicion of carrying a firearm and conspiracy to commit a criminal act, police ordered his release after failing to collect sufficient evidence to warrant his continued detention.
On a related note, police announced that they intended to charge Gilad Holler with possession of an illegal firearm. Holler was arrested at the same time as Alperon after a gun was found in his motorcycle.
