Ramle man arrested for threatening shoppers with a knife at market

Ramle police arrested a resident of the city Wednesday who was wandering in the city's open-air market when he brandished a knife and threatened passersby.
The man, who has a prior criminal record, was apparently intoxicated at the time of his arrest.
A civilian who assisted the police in subduing the man was lightly wounded during the incident.
