Rishon Lezion street evacuated after youth abandons bags and bolts

Police stopped traffic and evacuated residents on Rishon Lezion's Rehov Herzl on Thursday morning when a suspicious package was found in the area.
Ealrier, a police patrol spotted a youth hanging around the street near the city's central bus station. When the youth noticed police watching him, he put his bags on the ground and fled, prompting police to chase after him and clear the area of civilians.
Police then checked the contents of the bags, which were found to contain clothing, Army Radio reported.
The street was then reopened to traffic.
