Rocks were hurled at an Egged bus on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway near the Ein Hemed interchange Sunday afternoon.
No one was wounded in the incident, but the bus and two other vehicles were damaged.
A soldier riding the bus fired his rifle into the air, causing the stone-throwers to flee, and police began a manhunt after them.
