Foreign Ministry Director-General Ron Prosor departed on Saturday to Australia and New Zealand for an official state visit.
The trip constituted the first state visit since New Zealand severed its relations with Israel after Wellington accused two Israelis of being Mossad agents who created counterfeit New Zealand passports.
Contact between the two countries was reestablished after Israel apologized for the incident.
